I'm Ehab.
I have always been interested in both how things work and how they look and feel. Yacht design brings those two sides together in a way very few fields do: aesthetics, engineering, space, performance, craftsmanship and, of course, the sea.

I currently lead the strategy, programming and development of coastal and marine experiences, from concept creation to masterplanning.
Over the years, my work has crossed engineering, marine development, technology, digital products, tourism and experience design, including work on large and high-profile projects across several of those fields. That range has shaped the way I approach design, combining technical, creative and strategic thinking.
My foundation is mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in machinery design, production and assembly. That gave me a practical understanding of systems, manufacturing and what it takes to turn a drawing into something that can actually be built.
My connection to the marine world is personal as well. I'm a PADI Master Scuba Diver, and spending time underwater has given me a much closer connection to the sea and marine environment.
Yacht
design.
I started shifting my work seriously toward yacht and marine design in January 2023.
It wasn't a sudden career change, but more of a gradual realization that this was the field where a lot of my previous experience finally made sense together.
What interests me about yachts is the complete design problem. The exterior proportions and aesthetics matter to me just as much as the hull underneath them, the general arrangement, structure, performance, systems and the experience of being aboard.
Since then I have been working deeper into yacht design and naval architecture through design projects, hull development, performance and stability work, structures, computational analysis and a lot of reading, experimenting and testing ideas.
EHBLX is simply where I share some of that work: projects, things I'm studying, yachts I find interesting, technical rabbit holes, places, observations and whatever else around yacht design and the marine world feels worth writing about.
